Not content with being an A-List Hollywood actress, a director, a producer and wife to billionaire French businessman François-Henri Pinault, Salma Hayek can now add brand ambassador to her Resume. During Milan Fashion Week, it was announced that she will be the new face of Milan jewelry brand Pomellato.
Pomellato (which is actually one of my favorite brands here in Milan) is known for its beautiful use of colored stones and creating beautiful luxury jewels that women would buy for themselves. Although founded in 1967, Interestingly enough, the brand was acquired in 2013 by Kering, the luxury group run by her husband, François-Henri Pinault.
While the choice of using the Oscar-nominated actress might scream of nepotism, I must admit, that it is refreshing that Kering selected a more mature woman as their brand ambassador. It promotes the idea that a women can be just as alluring and sexy at 45 as she is at 25 and I have to say that Hayek looks pretty amazing in these shots.
Speaking about the campaign Hayek said:
"A Pomellato jewel has the character and power to enhance a woman's personality. It allows her to reinvent herself every time she wears it."
Hayek succeeds another strong and independent woman, Tilda Swinton, who was often spotted on the red carpet and about town decked out in the brand's chic colored rings.
